When I was crippled at the time
A friend of mine came into mind
“Who can I ask for help?,” I said
When I lay helplessly in my bed,
“I’ll help,” a friend replied, as I lay helpless and denied
“Thank God,” I said, in great demand as he came
To my side and held my hand
Without him I could not have existed
Thank God my particular path was listed
“Have faith in me,” he replied
And slowly faded from my side
I knew then from that very day
That my Lord was with me in every way.
