THE spring series of folk music concerts at Burnett's Hill Chapel, Martletwy, continues next week with a visit from one of the most exciting young folk trios in the country.
Lady Maisery comprises three young female singers and musicians who have each found success with other bands - Hannah James with the Demon Barbers, Hazel Askew as part of the Askew Sisters, and Rowan Rhenigans with Fidola.
Since coming together as a trio a year ago, the three girls have released an acclaimed debut CD and were recently finalists in the BBC Radio Two Folk Awards.
For Hannah, who is also a highly accomplished step-dancer, the concert will mark an early return to Burnett's Hill, since she appeared at the chapel just over a year ago as part of a duo with Sam Sweeney of Bellowhead.
Tickets for this concert on Tuesday, March 6, are available from the Pembroke Bookshop.
