Simon Hart MP has met best-selling Tenby illustrator Millie Marotta to celebrate the first ever British Intellectual Property Day (IP Day).

Millie has sold six-million copies of her adult colouring books and her Animal Kingdom - a colouring book adventure - has been the number one bestseller on Amazon.

She travelled to Westminster to tell Mr. Hart about the importance of Intellectual Property.

“Intellectual Property is hugely important to the UK economy whether in the creative industries, branded goods or the manufacturing and design sectors,” said a spokesman for the Alliance for IP.

“IP rich industries are driving the economy and are the bedrock of modern, knowledge driven economies such as the UK.”

Mr. Hart added: “I have to admit to not knowing we had a world leader in our midst in Pembrokeshire. It is worth checking out Millie’s developing website milliemarotta.co.uk to see her work; we have a brilliant talent in our midst.”
