Messy Church is a form of church for children and adults that involves creativity, celebration and hospitality. It's primarily for people who don't already belong to another form of church. It's all age and it's fun!
This was certainly the case at the first Messy Church held by St. Issell's in Saundersfoot. The theme was Harvest and the afternoon was enjoyed by all. The children and adults decorated a collage and made people out of fruit and vegetables to decorate the church for the Harvest Festival service. Harvest wreaths were made from salt dough and everyone enjoyed making animals, plaits and very imaginative shapes with dough which was baked in the oven.
It was a beautiful sunny afternoon which also enabled the children to explore the church grounds in a harvest treasure trail.
A short time of worship and song was followed by a scrumptious tea in the schoolroom.
Messy Church takes place on the fourth Sunday of the month. A warm welcome awaits you on October 26. Watch out for the banners advertising it and for any further information, please contact Rev. Marianne Osborne at [email protected]">[email protected]
