Furthers calls for improvements at Narberth's Charles Salmon Memorial Gardens have been made by a former Mayor of the town.

Clr. David Norcross told his fellow councillors that the gardens were in an appalling state, with chippings being thrown at cars and properties.

"This is something that needs to be looked at," he said.

Clr. Eric Feetham also voiced his concerns about the matter.

"The county council led us to believe they would be improving it," he said.

Council agreed to write to the local authority asking what the situation was.
