The current Mayor of Tenby has given thanks to everyone who has served on the town council from 2012.

Tuesday night saw the final meeting of the current make-up of the town council, with three new members set to be sworn in next month, in place of the three members who are standing down from their seats - Clr. Dr Peter Easy, Clr. Mrs. Kerri Durham and Clr. Will Rossiter.

The Mayor, Clr. Laurence Blackhall thanked everyone who had served during this period, including those who had served as Mayor - Clr. Paul Rapi, Clr. Trevor Hallett, and Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane.

“The three councillors retiring from their roles will be missed on the council. I thank them for their work, and contributions to discussions, and their considered thought for the town of Tenby,” he said.

Clr. Dr. Peter Easy thanked his fellow members and commended them for their ‘energy and commitment’ to the town.

“I’d just like to say how enjoyable I’ve found it, and I didn’t necessarily think I would!” he said.

“After a few meetings I soon discovered that this was the best way to find out more about the town that I had moved to. I’ve sat around many committees and meetings down the years, but I’ve never been as cold as I’ve felt in this council chamber!” joked Clr. Dr. Easy.
