The Mayor Making ceremony in Tenby next year will be put on the ‘back-burner’ to accommodate scooter enthusiasts into the resort.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, the town clerk Andrew Davies told members that the De Valence Pavilion would be needed to host some events for the Welsh National Scooter Rally, which would be back in town at the start of May, 2018, and would clash with the planned Mayor making ceremony on Friday, May 4.
Councillors agreed to move Mayor Making back a week to May 11, to ensure that scooter rally could use the De Valence venue for their weekend of events.
