The Tavern in St. Georges Street, Tenby, on Sunday afternoon, saw three local lads ‘Brave the Shave’ to help raise over a thousand pounds for the charity Macmillan Nurses.
Brainchild of manager Dan Cooke and his wife Paula, the idea was to create awareness of the wonderful work the charity does in supporting those with serious illness. On Friday, they held the Macmillan Big Coffee Morning event and offered cream teas in the afternoon.
But on Sunday, local Tenby lads were invited to undergo the ‘Brave the Shave’ event.
First up was Walt Farr, followed by Adam Jones, however, it was Rhys Sayell who stole the show. Sporting a magnificent beard and head of hair, he allowed Mark from ‘UpperKutz’ to transform him, much to the delight and pleasure of the visitors.
Then followed a raffle prize-giving which resulted in additional funds being raised.
Dan and Paula want to thank all the local business people in Tenby who generously donated prizes to help them raise an amazing amount of money for the charity.
