THE festive season is under way at the Nolan Charity Fund thanks to local artist and trustee Dawn Morgan who has captured the Welsh countryside for two new Christmas card designs.

The scenes of Llansteffan Castle from Ferryside and Carreg Cennen Castle were painted by Dawn and join scenes of Tenby and Cardiff Winter Wonderland painted last year.

The sale of the cards is being supported by Cards for Good Causes, the UK’s largest multi-charity Christmas card organisation, and will be available for sale in their pop-up shop in Swansea from November 13 at St. Mary’s Church. The shop will be open from 10 am to 4 pm daily.

All four card designs are also available to purchase online at http://www.art-dawn.co.uk/charity-christmas-cards and from Nolan uPVC in Johnstown, Carmarthen.

Packs of five cards are available for £2.99 with all profits from the sale of the cards going to the Nolan Charity Fund to help worthy causes in Wales.

Speaking about the cards and her charity work, Dawn said: “I have been painting the West Wales coast and countryside in my spare time for several years. I don’t think there’s anywhere on earth more inspiring for a painter.

“I began producing Christmas cards for the Nolan Charity Fund shortly after it was launched two years ago. I like the charity because it supports smaller community projects that don’t have huge fundraising resources, as well as household names.”

Since the charity formed in January 2015, more than £25,000 has been donated to the local community to help nearly 20 organisations with much-needed financial support.

The original oil paintings will be auctioned on December 9 at the Nolan Charity Fund Gala Dinner at The Halliwell in Carmarthen.
