A large number of street lights were reported as going off at 7 pm last Thursday in Narberth.

"This was due to the fact that there had been a mains power failure," said County Councillor Wynne Evans.

"This disrupted the timings mechanism on the lights which meant that they were completely out of sequence," he continued.

"Contrary to the many calls I received, I can assure residents that the council has not decided to switch lights of earlier than the allowed specified time of midnight and this problem has now been fully rectified."
