RNLI crew from Tenby were tasked to Saundersfoot on Wednesday (December 15), after a lady fell and injured herself on the beach.

All-weather lifeboat the Haydn Miller was requested to launch shortly before 11.25 am following a request for pain relief.

The volunteer crew were quickly on the water and made best speed to the scene.

On arrival, the Y-boat was launched and several crew members went ashore, where they were met by Tenby and St Govans Coastguard teams, who were already on scene.

They then used Entonox to provide pain relief to the casualty, who was in excruciating pain.

Once the ambulance arrived, the crew assisted Paramedics and Coastguards in getting the casualty ready for the trip to hospital, before returning to station.
