The latest news and main items discussed by Full Council were: The last day to use the ‘old type’ concessionary bus passes is February 29.

Grass cutting contract - The Community Council are offering to tender the grass cutting contract this will cover all grass areas belonging to the Community Council for a period of three years. For further information please contact the Clerk. Tenders will be considered at the March meeting.
The Community Council will discuss the installation of additional litter and recycling bins in its area at its March 2020 meeting, as feedback was still awaited from Pembrokeshire County Council.
It has been noted that several of the larger potholes at the entrance to the Doctors’ surgery car park in Kilgetty have been temporarily filled in with loose tarmacadam. Further repairs are awaited to be carried out by the Co-operative’s contractor.
A very successful litter pick took place on Sunday, January 19.
Dyfed-Powys Police surgeries continue to be held in the Community Centre, Kilgetty, on the second Thursday of each month between 10 am and 12 noon.
The Community Council Councillors also attend these surgeries to answer any questions and to listen to matters of concern from local residents.
Planning
Councillors considered the following planning applications and after discussion made the following recommendations to Pembrokeshire County Council:
19/1011/PA – Shipping Cottages, Begelly – Erection of three dwellings: The Council recommended this application for objection
19/0972/PA Cwms Hill, Stepaside, Narberth - Erection of a sun room at ground floor level: The Council recommended this application for approval
County Councillor’s Report
Clr. David Pugh reported that:
• Pembrokeshire County Council are holding Public Engagement sessions regarding their 2020/21 budget. Timings can be found on the Pembrokeshire County Council website
• The road surfacing scheme is scheduled to commence on February 27.
The next meeting of Kilgetty, Begelly Community Council is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 12 at the Community Centre, commencing at 7 pm. A fifteen-minute public participation session is always scheduled prior to the start of Full Council meetings.
