Begelly-Kilgetty Community Association (BKCA): The recent Mince Pies and Music event, held at the Community Centre, Kilgetty, in December, was attended by over 50 people.
Planning: KBCC considered the following two planning applications and recommended approval in both cases - removal of flat roof to existing garage, replacement of roof with pitched roof to include orangery and garage under the same roof (part retrospective), at The Poplars, Cross Lanes, Kilgetty; erection of dwelling on land adjacent to Newbury, Station Road, Kilgetty.
County Councillor David Pugh's report: PCC is continuing to work with KBCC and Dyfed Powys Police on looking to reduce the speed limit through Begelly, as well as looking at sourcing funding for the widening and improvement of the footpath alongside the A478 in some parts of Begelly.
They are also continuing to look at ways of improving the traffic flow through Kilgetty and in particular outside the Co-operative, where illegal parking takes place on a regular basis. Increased patrols by traffic wardens have helped ease some of the problems here.
Next meeting: The next meeting of Kilgetty Begelly Community Council will take place on Thursday, February 12, in the Green Room, Kilgetty-Begelly Community Centre, commencing at 7 pm.
