Clr. Terence Gardner was successfully co-opted on to council for the Kilgetty ward.
The additional play equipment for Kilgetty Play Area, aimed specifically at toddlers and younger children, has now been ordered and is expected to be delivered and installed soon.
KBCC has now received information from three companies on the cost of installing Christmas lights in Kilgetty later this year and will be making a decision on the preferred supplier at its September meeting.
Pembrokeshire County Council (PCC) has agreed to repair the bus shelter in Ryelands Lane, Kilgetty, and to steam clean the bus shelter in Carmarthen Road, Kilgetty. KBCC will trim back the vegetation alongside this shelter shortly.
KBCC has also agreed to repair the curved seating area alongside the bus stop in Carmarthen Road.
KBCC's Annual Audit for 2012/13 has now been signed off by the external auditors, BDO LLP and by KBCC. Members of the public can view salient parts of the audit return over the next fourteen days by contacting the clerk.
New recycling bins have now been installed in Kilgetty by PCC. These can be found outside the Post Office and the Fish and Chip Shop in Carmarthen Road, Kilgetty.
Begelly-Kilgetty Community Association (BKCA): The Fun Day and Bulldog Run which took place on August 3 in Kilgetty has been hailed a success, with record numbers of entrants, including the dog competitions. Kilgetty in Bloom also saw increased entrants this year. The community centre will be painted during the course of the winter by members of the association and a new door is to be purchased for the store/garage building.
Planning: Construction of a new road access and track for forestry at land to the south of Forestry Grove, Stepaside - KBCC had no objections.
County Clr. David Pugh's Report: Welsh Government had confirmed that no building work could take place on the common land sited behind the Co-operative in Kilgetty and alongside the A477. This followed successful objections, including by the Open Spaces Society, to earlier planning permissions granted by PCC.
PCC are undertaking a costings exercise on the installation of a handrail in Mayfield Acres, Kilgetty.
PCC have re-approached Dyfed-Powys Police about lowering the speed limit on the A478 in Begelly, including offering ideas on traffic calming measures.
