Noah's Ark Nursery, Narberth, has been taking part in the national Healthy and Sustainable Pre-School Scheme.
The scheme aims to embed in the settings that follow it, a high standard of care and education, relaying to the children in their care important early messages to give them a good start, introducing them to key aspects of health and environmental awareness that will be carried on throughout their experiences in school.
Noah's Ark have now achieved the first six of the eight awards available for the preliminary phase - nutrition and oral health, physical activity, safety, hygiene and, most recently in December 2012, environment, having achieved all within the last three years since opening the nursery in 2010.
Noah's Ark will be working towards achieving the final two awards over the next 12 months to complete the scheme and have it firmly grounded within the day to day running of the nursery setting.
