Prostate Cymru will be giving an awareness talk to the public at Tenby’s Greenhill School next month.
The talk which is open to anyone above the age of 16 will take place on July 9 from 5.30 pm.
The talk is aimed to give an insight into men’s health in today’s modern world - ‘It’s a man thing’ - but of course women are welcome as well and we will explain why,” said Simon Moffett volunteer with the Prostate Cymru awareness team.
“These days more men are dying from prostate cancer than women are dying from breast cancer.
“One man in eight in Wales will be affected by prostate cancer and the odds are much less at one in three if another family member has been affected.
“The chances of surviving the illness are greatly increased if there is early intervention. Can there be better reasons to learn more about prostate health?
“Prostate Cymru is pleased to thank Mr. Ray McGovern head of Greenhill School Tenby for his offer of the school hall for the awareness talk,” he added.
