Friends, colleagues and community groups are invited to take part in an ambitious one-day challenge to celebrate the 186-mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

The Walk the Path for Wellbeing challenge invites people from all walks of life to join forces on Friday, September 12 to cover the entire trail – each group walking, swimming or paddling a different section as part of a shared mission.

The event aims to highlight the power of the Coast Path in supporting health, wellbeing and connection with nature, while uniting communities through a common goal.

Teams can participate by submitting a single application on behalf of their group. Each team will be assigned a stretch of the Coast Path suited to their abilities, with the aim of collectively covering the entire route in a single day. While walking is expected to be the main method of travel, participants are also welcome to complete their section by paddling or swimming, where appropriate.

Locations will be fixed to ensure full coverage of the Trail, with teams free to plan the timing and pace of their contribution.

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority’s Health and Wellbeing Officer Angela Robinson said: “Whether it’s a small team of friends, colleagues from a local workplace, or members of a community group, the event is designed to be as inclusive and accessible as possible.

“Participants are welcome to fundraise for a charity of their choice or simply enjoy the day as a celebration of Pembrokeshire’s beauty.”

National Park Authority Staff will also be taking part on the day and are encouraging teams across the county – and beyond – to get involved.
