The Spar store in Saundersfoot has seen a magical reaction to a new hi-tech DVD service on The Strand.

The state-of-the art Rent it Here pod is one of 300 sites installed across the UK', providing a revolutionary new way for shoppers to rent DVDs.

Since being introduced to the store, the new Rent it Here pod has been a big hit. Harry Potter is currently the most rented DVD by film buffs in Saundersfoot.

Other popular new releases include films such as Bridesmaids, X-Men: First Class, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Green Lantern are proving popular with armchair fans, along with family films, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Rio and Kung Fu Panda 2 which have entertained the kids during the recent winter months.

David Robinson, marketing director at Rent it Here, commented: "We chose the Spar store in Saundersfoot to be part of this exciting launch because we were sure local residents would respond well to the service and we've been proved right. The store is delighted to be one of the first convenience stores to launch Rent it Here technology and the feedback has been excellent."

Shoppers in Saundersfoot can browse through titles either in store, online or by using the iPhone/Android application, allowing users to view available titles on the move, which they can then collect in store when shopping for their groceries.
