The Mayor of Tenby has said that she has been busy attending many events in the town recently where ‘Happy Days’ have been enjoyed.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, told her colleagues that she had been to many school fetes over the past couple of weeks, including one at Greenhill School, which she congratulated them on as it was their first.
“I also enjoyed the filming of Songs of Praise down the harbour on Saturday, and the Happy Days musical at the De Valence over the weekend. Congratulations to everyone involved in the production, it was excellent!” she added.
Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown said that as well as the musical, there had been plenty going on at the De Valence venue recently, with a wedding and various sporting presentation dinners.
“It’s being well used, but exhausting!” she laughed. “We could really do with some help from any volunteers, if anyone wants to come forward, whether it be for bar work, cleaning or some DIY - we would be very grateful!” she added.
