James Andrew North and Deanne Amy Whenman were united in marriage on May 5 at St. Pierre Hotel in Chepstow.

The groom is the son of Andrew and Sally North, of Stepaside, Narberth. The bride is daughter of Ron and Brenda Whenman, of London.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white gown with Swarovski crystal details, complemented with a full-length veil.

Sister of the bride, Emma Brigden, served as Maid of Honour, while friends Samantha Newell and Lauren Riggs served as bridesmaids.

The flower girls were Esme North (cousin) and Acacia Brigden (niece). Page boys were Archie North (cousin) and Rylan Brigden (nephew).

Adam North (groom's brother) served as best man and ushers included Oliver North (groom's brother) and Clive Whenman (bride's brother).

During the ceremony, the guests were welcomed by harpist Shelley Fairplay from St. Fagan's, Cardiff.

Readings were addressed to the couple from Brenda Whenman (bride's mother) and Maureen North (groom's grandmother).

Following the ceremony, a guard of honour was performed by six RAF colleagues from the Queen's Colour Squadron.

At the drinks reception, family and friends enjoyed a medley of songs played by the harpist.

The groom is Lance Corporal in the Queen's Colour Squadron and the bride is principal of her own dance school.

The couple are making their home at Northolt, London.
