A beautiful sunny day welcomed visitors to the home of Susan and Brian McKehon in Pentlepoir last Thursday for their Garden Party in aid of Bone Cancer Research Trust.
A fabulous array of homemade cakes were on offer, along with others donated by many local companies. A series of ‘silly’ games had some people in stitches of laughter while others sat in the garden enjoying a chat and a cuppa!
Susan and Brian would like to thank all those who supported the event and the following companies who gave so generously, either in the form of cakes or raffles prizes - Marks and Spencer, Tesco Pembroke Dock, Tesco Haverfordwest, Morrison, Aldi Haverfordwest, Aldi Pembroke Dock, Celtic Haven, Herons Brook Resort, The Plum Tree Tea Rooms Tavernspite, Periwinkle Tearoom and Pottery Saundersfoot, Welsh Cottage Cakes Llandeilo, Aladdin’s Cave Saundersfoot and various other individuals who wish to remain anonymous.
The Crafty Frog Wool Shop in Tenby also sold knitted mermaids on behalf of the cause.
A total of £484 was raised, with donations still being received from those unable to attend on the day.
Further monies were also raised with bucket collections at cricket grounds last weekend, so the overall now total stands in excess of £850.
