Tomorrow (Saturday) sees the third fundraising ‘Passion for Palestine’ event take place at Llawhaden Village Hall, from 7 to 11 pm, with a fantastic line-up of Welsh talent and great Palestinian food.
The acclaimed Lowri Evans and Lee Mason headline an evening of luminaries: guitarist John Rodge, poet and broadcaster Mab Jones and former Darts lead singer Bob Fish with his band Black Ravens make an incredible line-up for a £10 admission price.
Two courses of Palestinian dishes, freshly prepared by chefs Shaun Hague and Luke Conlon of the pop-up Walled-Off Café, cost £8.
West Wales Friends of Palestine are the organisers of the event.
They are a group of like-minded people who came together with the aim of helping the people of Rummanah, a Palestinian village located 11 miles from the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank (who they are twinned with).
Projects supported by this event include the construction of a canopy for the Rumannah Kindergarten, which is also being used for wider community activities in the locality.
