One beneficiary of the less than brilliant June weather has been East Williamston Jubilee Park - the buttercups under the trees are a golden carpet and the wildlife is thriving.
Lucky visitors may see the tadpoles in the ponds and even a Red Kite soaring overhead.
The Friends of Jubilee Park are undertaking a programme of work in the summer to keep paths safe, gateways free of brambles and the large meadow area clear.
Their next get together is on Saturday, July 6, and all those who took part last time said what a social event it was - no special skills were needed just an interest in maintaining the natural surroundings and wildlife habitats of this unique and valuable resource.
Details can be found on the website [email protected]"">[email protected]">[email protected]">[email protected]">[email protected]"">[email protected]">[email protected]">[email protected] or call (01834) 811142 and all are invited to join the work party on July 6 for a couple of hours, starting at about 10.15, with a cup of coffee and a brief talk about the Park and its objectives.
