On Friday, July 20, West Wales R'n'R Club will be rolling back the years to the days of Bill Haley and Buddy Holly at Whitland Dairy Club on Station Road, Whitland.

They are expecting a full house to see one of the best bands on the circuit - This Little Girl and The Dillicats who will be playing two sets of rocking songs comprising of classic covers and also their own material.

This Little Girl is a four piece Rockabilly/Rock 'n' Roll band with a difference in that it is formed of one family. Keri Blackwell (aged 14) on drums and vocals. Charlie Blackwell (aged 17) on piano, sax, vocals and accoustic guitar. John Blackwell (electric/upright bass and vocals) who is a bit older and dad Nigel Blackwell (lead vocals and guitar) who is considerably older still!

Since the birth of the band in early 2008, This Little Girl has had a busy time with many varying venues from band stands to concert halls. Culminating last year with the prestigious Twinwood Festival.

The band will be supported by The Jive Machine DJ who will be supplying music to keep fans of all styles of Jive happy and dancing all evening.

The doors will open at 7.30 and the dancing starts at 8 pm - going on till 11.30.

Regulars at the club will provide a very warm welcome to anyone who wishes to go along on the evening, whether you are able to dance or not. There is always somebody willing to teach the basics of Rock 'n' Roll. There are also dances which do not require a partner.

Admission is just £8 and you can pay at the door.
