With work ongoing for the ‘in bloom’ season in Tenby, two areas in need of watering for floral displays have been identified.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, the Mayor, Clr. Laurence Blackhall, said that the Deputy Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, also the chairman of Tenby in Bloom, had mentioned that The Green and Rectory Gardens had a bit of an issue getting access to watering.
“In the Deputy’s absence, I’d like to propose that we support temporary stand pipes be dropped in to aid the ‘in bloom’ work in those areas, and that the funds come out of the town council’s allocated budget,” he said, with his fellow councillors supporting the proposal.
“I’d also like to thank the Pembrokeshire County Council gardening team and Tenby in Bloom committee and volunteers for the ongoing work they are undertaking,” added Clr. Blackhall.
