Despite some indifferent weather of late around the county, the first swallow of the season is usually an indication that summer could be on its way, and a few have been spotted over the past few days.
“We saw one skimming over the hedgerows between New Hedges and Sageston on Tuesday morning at around 8.30 am. They are unmistakeable,” Mrs. Healthcote of New Hedges phoned us to let us know of her sighting.
“We also heard from friends who had seen a swallow in Marloes on the weekend, so it must be a good sign,” she added.
