The ladies of Penally WI had the pleasure of welcoming Major John Poole, Commandant of Castlemartin Range and Manorbier Air Defence Range, to their October meeting.

He was introduced by President Doreen Axon and went on to give a great talk on the ranges. He also gave updates on Penally Camp and Penally Firing Range which will be going up on the market for sale next year.
There has been a lot of building work in Castlemartin with extra housing blocks being built, a new cook house, and tower. Castlemartin is the largest firing range in the UK. The ladies thought found the talk very interesting and informative.
Julie Buckland won the raffle, and refreshments were provided by Frances Garvin and Audrey Morris.
Next meeting is on the second Tuesday of November (14) where Penally WI will be crafting Christmas items with Sian and Julie, starting at 2.15pm.
New members are always welcome, so pop in to see everyone and enjoy the afternoon.
