An accusation that Tenby Borough Council was “being used” was made by the former Mayor of the Borough, Clr. Chris Jones.

The remark was made at a meeting of councillors.

Alderman C. Hayden Williams of Valley Road, Saundersfoot retired after serving 23 years as a Magistrate on Narberth’s bench.

Mr. Williams was a leading public figure in South Pembrokeshire for many years.

Walkers from Whitland Grammar School, St. Clears and Narberth Secondary Schools and members from the Laugharne Youth Club rose nearly £200 for Shelter, the national campaign for the homeless.

The group walked from Whitland to Henllan Amgoed, Cefn Brafle and Llanboidy finishing up at Whitland Grammar School.
