A six-year-old football fan had a Saturday night to remember recently when she was chosen to be the mascot of her beloved ‘Baggies’ team.

Chanel Kingston-Griffiths of Amroth, was drawn in a prize draw to be the West Bromwich Albion mascot for the FA Cup tie against Liverpool at Anfield.

The match which was broadcast on BT Sport, saw Chanel cheering on her side to a memorable 2-3 win for her team.

Chanel’s mum Zoe said that her daughter, who currently attends Redhill Preparatory School in Haverfordwest, is also a season ticket holder at the Hawthorns and travels up to most home games.

“She got to meet all of the players in the dressing room prior to kick-off and then lead the team out with the club captain Jonny Evans,” she said.

“The players and staff were outstanding with her, top class gentlemen and professionals. “They spent time taking photos with her and signing her shirt, she loved every minute of it!”
