SEABIRD nesting season is now underway along the coast. By sharing the Pembrokeshire Marine Code, you can help reduce disturbance at key sites and reach more people planning time on the coast.
Cliffs and offshore islands are filling with species such as guillemots, razorbills and kittiwakes, many of which nest on narrow ledges where disturbance can easily cause birds to take flight, leaving eggs or chicks vulnerable.
Head craning, head turning, head bobbing, and wing flapping in situ. Do not proceed if you observe this as you will make them fly.
Keep your distance, avoid sudden noise or movement, and plan visits with awareness of local access restrictions.
