Pembroke Bridge Club had a great day at their Christmas party, with lots of members coming along and joining in the Christmas spirit.  

The day began with a 1960’s quiz which consisted of four sections, Music, General Knowledge, Books and Films. The winning team ‘Precision’, consisted of Peter and Julie Milewski, Ian Haston and Graham Hadlow.  Enjoy your chocolates folks.

The Best Dressed award went to Helen Morgan, who came along in fab antlers and a great pair of reindeer leggings, it was a great outfit! 

Last man standing cash prize winner was Mr Peter Milewski, and lots and lots of members went home happy with several raffle prizes. 

A very special Christmas graze buffet was provided by Emma Lucas from Daps Baps.  It was absolutely wonderful, said club owner Irene Delahunty, with every member commenting on the presentation and truly scrumptious spread. “Thank you, Daps Baps!”

The ‘Individual’ bridge competition was won by the club’s legendary John Seal, taking home a lovely bottle of Port with Liz Richardson in 2nd and Pam Evans in 3rd place, each receiving a bottle too.

The ‘booby’ prize went home with Helen Morgan. We won’t print your score, but enjoy your champagne!

Irene Delahunty was presented with a fabulous Christmas voucher from all club members, and gifts were also given to treasurer Liz Crockford, membership secretary Judy Lewis,  Peter and Julie Milewski for several roles and Perry Crickmere who is the Club’s Anchorman! Wonderful time had by all.

Tuesday, December 5, ECats Simultaneous Pairs: There were 506 Pairs in this worldwide competition and a Pembroke pair came top overall!  Huge Congratulations to Tim Dean and Mike Baker coming in 1st place with 69.52 which is a fantastic achievement for Pembroke Bridge Club!  Full results can be found on the ECats bridge website.

The club is now closed for Christmas holidays but will re-open again on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.  Pembroke Bridge Club plays on Tuesday afternoons face to face in Lamphey Village Hall, Pembroke, beginning at 1pm, visitors and new members always welcome!
