SOLVA Edge Festival returns from July 24 to 26: three days of live music, literature, crafts and community celebration powered by passion, not profit.
Solva Edge Festival is run entirely by volunteers from our village, with all surplus funds supporting youth and community groups across the area.
The festival opens on Friday with a performance from Gelliswick Community Choir, setting the tone for a weekend rooted in Pembrokeshire talent and community spirit.
This year’s Main Stage headliners include: The Stickmen Project (Friday), Electric Kicks (Saturday) and UK Foo Fighters (Sunday finale).
They are joined by local favourites Twpsyn, Cardinal Sin and Sunday’s Legends Slot featuring ABBA tribute Bjorn to Be.
Rising stars Stowaway from Ysgol Bro Gwaun, winners of the Pembrokeshire Battle of the Bands, also make their Edge debut.
The festival’s acoustic Shipwreck Stage returns with standout sets from Robyn Benge and Bryony Sier, alongside a full weekend of emerging artists and intimate performances.
This year’s Literature at the Edge programme features Ifor Thomas, reading from his new poetry collection ‘The Undertaker’s Invoice’, Matthew Raggett, discussing his latest book ‘Crab Salad with Books and Bards’ and Simon Alderwick, sharing work written largely in the local landscape.
Festival-goers can enjoy hands-on Welsh Dragon storytelling with John Roach, as well as with Pilates, and dance sessions led by Viktoriia.
Craft workshops include: Flower Crowns with The Floral Goat, Pottery Design with Mary George and Mosaics, and Printing with Penny Dafforn.
Outdoors, go Coastal Foraging with Ben Macare, explore Smugglers and Pirates with Gordon Lewis, or join Ecodewi’s beach clean.
The Green Scar Bar returns, serving local ciders, craft beers and classic favourites. Food stalls and family activities run throughout the weekend.
Tickets are available from www.edgefestival.co.uk or at the gate, Solva Football Club, Maes Y Mor, SA62 6XW. Parking is available.
