A NEW art gallery opens in Tenby this St David’s Day, as the town’s historic Sergeants Lane becomes home to a new sanctuary: the Jimi Zen Gallery.
Specialising in a fusion of traditional photography and modern, and retro inspired artistry, the gallery opens its doors on March 1 to offer a rich atmospheric and visual tribute to Welsh cultural, and heritage focused art.
The goal of the Jimi Zen Gallery is to become a thriving hub for the arts in West Wales; showcasing, publicising and championing the work of new and upcoming artists throughout the year. It aims to provide an inspiring platform for fresh perspectives and innovative creations, ensuring there is always something new and exciting to see on our walls.
“My work is a tribute to the poetry of the Welsh landscape,” says Jimi Zen. “Opening on St David’s Day holds a particular significance for me, as it’s a day for celebrating Welsh identity, and my work is an exploration of that same heritage—the beauty that exists throughout it, and more so in the quiet, rugged corners of our coastline. I wanted to create a space in Tenby that reflects the scale and picturesque nature of my beloved home country.”
The physical launch is accompanied by the debut of the gallery’s digital home at www.jimizengallery.shop and www.jimizen.com, where the collections are available to an online audience to experience the evocative atmosphere of Wales from afar.
