COMING to Llangwm on July 30, MNÁ are an all-female trad band rooted in the Irish tradition, weaving together Irish music with touches of English and French repertoire.

For this special collaboration, Phoebe Harty (cello, voice), Tara McCarty (fiddle, viola), and Jess Collins (fiddle, voice, feet) bring a rich, textured sound shaped by close harmony, driving rhythm, and expressive sound.

Their music is distinctly feminine: warm, powerful, playful, and deeply connected to the dance traditions from which the music comes.

Joining them are Charlie Wheatley (guitar) and Nat Philipps (saxophone), a contemporary duo exploring the edges of the balfolk tradition. Combining rhythmic groove, improvisation, and modern textures, they bring a fresh and exploratory energy that complements the trio’s rooted traditional sound.

Together, the musicians create an evening that moves between intimate songs, driving dance tunes, and contemporary folk explorations — music grounded in tradition while reaching confidently into new territory.

The venue for this fantastic evening of music is St Jerome’s Church, The Green, Llangwm. Doors at 7pm for 7.30pm start.
