Two buffoons, a bottle of bourbon, a deck of cards, that’s all. Simple? Really? Find out how simple as Horse Country by CJ Hopkins visits the Torch Theatre on Saturday, November 12 at 7.30pm.
Directed by Oliver Award Winner Mark Bell (The Play That Goes Wrong) and featuring Daniel Llewelyn-Williams, and Michael Edwards, the play is like Laurel and Hardy performing The Dumb Waiter on acid and is sure to make you laugh out loud.
Having received rave reviews and fresh from a 5-star run at the Edinburgh Fringe, the co-production by Flying Bridge Theatre Company and Rive Productions is currently on a UK Autumn Tour and will stop off at the Milford Haven’s Torch Theatre with its show stopper.
As the duo Sam and Bob hunt the elusive nine of diamonds, what follows is as hilarious as it is menacing; the two clowns shoot the breeze, as they casually dissect capitalism, sea-lions, western culture, fishing, genocide, you know… normal stuff like that. It’s a white-knuckle ride. If you come on board you’ll have to keep up.... Anarchic and surreal, this delightful and clever play surprises and provokes in spades… or is it the nine of diamonds…?
