Renowned Pembrokeshire storyteller Phil Okwedy has created a re-telling of the Skomar Oddy folktale to focus on river health and biodiversity.
This entertaining story conveys a message about caring for river habitats. Storytelling is a powerful medium for educating children and adults about environmental issues.
These free workshops give you the opportunity to learn the story so that you can re-tell it to others and adapt it to your local river. You will gain new skills and confidence in storytelling.
You can choose to take part in your preferred language. Phil will teach the story in English and Michael will teach it in Welsh.
The free workshops take place at the following venues:
- Tuesday, February 27 - from 4 to 9 pm, at Carew Castle (in the Nest Tearoom), Castle Lane, Carew SA70 8SL.
- Wednesday, February 28 -10 am to 3 pm at Haverhub, The Old Post Office, 12 Quay Street, Haverfordwest SA61 1BG
- Monday, March 11 - 10 am to 3 pm at Castell Henllys, Penpedwast, Nr Eglwyswrw, SA41 3UR
Places are limited to 16 people for each workshop, so pre-booking is essential.
