Critics’ Circle Award winning company, Ballet Cymru, presents an extraordinary adaptation of William Shakespeare’s masterpiece Romeo and Juliet at Milford Haven’s Torch Theatre this June.

Winner of Best Large Scale Dance Production at the Wales Theatre Awards, this production features extraordinary video projections creating a world of danger and excitement.

Romeo a Juliet features choreography from company Directors Darius James OBE and Amy Doughty, and exquisite costumes by Georg Meyer-Wiel who has created costumes for some of the world’s leading companies including Rambert Dance Company.

Intense fighting, passionate duets and universal themes echo through dramatic, energetic and lyrical choreography: “The nimble ensemble go full-throttle in the fight scenes… to deliver a sense of disorder that’s both casual and contagious.” – Anna Winter, The Guardian.

With a performance on the Torch Theatre stage scheduled for Tuesday, June 4 at 7.30pm, Romeo a Juliet is a unique, dynamic collaboration between three of Wales’ outstanding arts organisations, Ballet Cymru, Coreo Cymru (The Dance Creative Producer for Wales) and the Riverfront Theatre in Newport.
