Community School and her Elly’s Ward 10 Flag Appeal has reached a monster amount in her fundraising quest!
The youngster and her family have revaled that as of Wednesday they have raised £208,679.58 for Patient Experience and Environment on the ‘New’ Ward 10 at Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest.
This will be the Haematology, Oncology and Palliative Care (including End of Life) Ward, which is due to be completed by mid-February 2020.
Elly sent her mum Ann and dad dad Lyn off recently for some very important Ward 10 equipping meetings.
Lyn said: “We want to make sure that the funds Elly’s Appeal has raised make a real and positive difference to Patient Experience and Environment on the new Ward 10.
“We will do our very best to have the best Cancer and Palliative Care Ward we can for Pembrokeshire patients!”
Elly said: “Don’t forget the Plumpy Cushions and Fluffy Blankets I wanted to keep the patients comfortable while they are ill in hospital.”
We think Infection Control may have something to say about that one but we will do our best.
The Ward 10 Flag appeal would like to thank the support of Hywel Dda Health Charities, The Ward 10 Staff and all the Pembrokeshire people who have supported the Appeal.
Elly and her family are continuing to seek donations via their Just Giving page at: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Ward10Flag
