SPONSORED: Communities for Work+ (CFW+) is a Welsh Government–funded employment support programme for individuals aged 16+ who are not currently in education, employment, or training.

On the CFW+ programme, you’ll work one-to-one with a dedicated mentor who will support you to overcome barriers to employment. This can include help with creating or updating a CV, completing job applications, interview preparation and workshops, funding for interview clothing, transport to work, interviews or training and access to fully funded training opportunities.

The aim of the programme is to support individuals into sustainable employment. Your journey with CFW+ is fully tailored to your needs and future goals, with support delivered through one-to-one sessions, workshops, group training and job clubs alongside other people on the programme.

To give an example of how CFW+ can help: Recently, an individual was supported with fully funded bus driver training, interview preparation, and extensive research into a new career path. This support enabled them to secure full-time employment with a local company, overcoming several barriers to employment and gaining a role with the potential to develop into a lifelong career.

CFW+ is based across Pembrokeshire, with offices in Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven, Haverfordwest and Cardigan. Outreach support is also offered at a range of community locations, including Neyland Community Hub, Fishguard Town Hall, Hubberston and Hakin Community Centre, Tenby Learning Centre and the Mount Community Centre. New locations are regularly added to improve accessibility for harder-to-reach communities.

CFW+ also works closely with local employers looking to recruit. It can support businesses with free recruitment by delivering work preparation groups, offering role-specific training, interview preparation, insights into the business and setting up guaranteed interviews with the employer where possible.
