As the East Williamston Association enters a new year it’s sad to see the Community Hall without bookings.

There was a brief respite in 2020 and the Short Mat Bowls and other groups were able to meet, but it is now closed due to the continuing lock down.

“The Association relies on income from the bookings so the Trustees say they are very grateful for the help from Pembrokeshire County Council which has permitted them to continue to meet their bills and get ready to welcome the many community groups back when allowed,” said Trustee Kathy Talbot.

The Association’s Trustees continue to meet, via Zoom of course, and want to keep in contact with the wider East Wiliamston area, which includes Kingsmoor Close, Pentlepoir, Broadmoor, Cold Inn, Wooden and Moreton.

“So much is done ‘virtually’ these days that, in addition to Facebook, the Association has a new website at: www.ewcommunity.org - with lots on there, but more is needed, especially about Pentlepoir, Wooden and Morton,” continued Kathy.

If you’ve any interesting images, stories, information about what’s on or historical tales you can send it through tothe following email: [email protected] so that it can be shared and everyone can be kept informed, even though the community cannot get together for the while.
