Two well known earth and space lovers alike have been spotted in Pembrokeshire last week.

Wildlife and conservation expert Chris Packham was in Amroth and Rosebush for a spot of filming for BBC’s five-part ‘Earth series’, which will air in 2023.

The presenter was spotted on Friday (January 7) morning and evening in Amroth to film on the beach and caves of the seaside village.

BBC have described the Earth series as follows: “Over five episodes, Chris Packham will set out a biography of our planet, revealing the most epic moments from the Earth’s history, from the first seconds of its existence to the arrival of its most incredible inhabitants: us.

“Cutting-edge computer-generated imagery will allow viewers to witness the dramatic moments when our planet’s future, and the life it nurtured, hung in the balance.

“Massive bombardments from space, extreme changes in climate, the collision of whole continents. Every one of these key moments in our planet’s history is written in its scars.

“The series will uncover the meaning of its mountains and its ocean floors, its craters, valleys and plains.

British astronaut Tim Peake, appeared to be spending some holiday time with the family in Pembrokeshire, as he posted on social media on Sunday some pics on Freshwater West beach, and a visit to ‘Dobby’s grave’.

“Walking on this stunning stretch of coast it seemed appropriate that we would stumble across Dobby the House Elf’s grave on the 20th Anniversary of the first Harry Potter movie,” he posted.

“The boys took a moment to pay their respects to a very special elf!

“We did a #2minutebeachclean as a small thank you to nature for giving us such a beautiful place to explore,” he added.
