Firefighters from Whitland and Carmarthen used hydraulic cutting equipment and small gear to cut free a female person from a car involved in an accident on the dual carriageway between St. Clears and Carmarthen on Monday morning.

A transit van overturned in the collision at 10.30 am at the Meidrim junction on the eastbound carriageway.

The female was conveyed to hospital by ambulance.
