Folly Farm had two reasons to celebrate this week as resident donkeys Star and Sparkle gave birth to two baby girls, a day apart.

The foals, now a week old, went on display in the Jolly Barn on Tuesday and have delighted Folly Farm's visitors.

With the August Bank Holiday weekend fast approaching, these cuties couldn't have come at a better time.

Jane Hill, farm manager at Folly Farm, said: "You can never plan these things, but it's pleasing to have a double arrival just ahead of the August Bank Holiday weekend. I'm sure the many thousands of visitors this weekend will enjoy seeing Dixie and Dora."

Dixie and Dora are the first foals for Star and Sparkle and have been named according to Folly Farm's tradition of giving all the donkey's a name beginning with 'D'.
