The visit to Amroth Youngsters' club night of Mr. Marshall Greer, chairman of the Co-operative Community Fund Committee for South and West Wales, caused great excitement among the children. He presented the club with a selection of outdoor sports equipment, craft supplies and a Nintendo Wii package paid for by way of a grant from the Community Fund. The equipment will be very useful to the club, which has been in operation for 18 months.

Mrs. Josie Greenway, the club treasurer, said that application for the grant only involved completing a form which was downloaded from the internet and she was absolutely delighted when the cheque arrived unexpectedly in the post.

The Amroth Parish Hall committee, who give free use of the hall for club activities, also provided extra storage facilities for the new equipment.
