A charity that provides a lifeline of welfare and support to fishermen and their families has received a boost from a local lady who recently took on the challenge of abseiling down Pembroke Castle.
Anna Willington and close family friend Helen Hansford recently undertook the dare-devil challenge in aid of the Fishermen’s Mission in memory of Anna’s brother Spike and nephew Dan who sadly lost their lives in a fishing tragedy off the Pembrokeshire coast.
“We both have a phobia of heights, but the abseil was amazing,” said Anna. “We both thoroughly enjoyed it and of course it was for a really good cause.”
Anna is pictured presenting a cheque for over £2,000 to Christine King from the Fishermen’s Mission.
