Crime is down in the Narberth section.
Sergeant Aled Davies told members of the town council on Tuesday night that crime had fallen by three per cent.
"The detection rate for August was 43.3 per cent, which is a good result," he said.
"This is a lovely section to work. We have had a busy time, but I have received a good welcome since I took over here," he continued.
"The police are only as good as the information we get from the public. We will do our best for you and serve you as best we can. Our door is always open. If you have got any issues, we will try our best to sort them out."
And he added: "This is one of the best towns I've policed in Pembrokeshire."
