A prolific thief from Pembroke Dock was handed a jail sentence this week after admitting stealing clothes from a local store.

Thirty-four-old Jamie Simon Hedley, of Pembroke Street, appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday to plead guilty to a charge of stealing clothing to the value of £42.97 from Pembroke Dock’s Select store on November 11.

Magistrates elected to commit Mr. Hedley to prison for 12 weeks, due to the offence being aggravated by the defendant’s record of previous offending.

He was also ordered to pay compensation of £42.97 to the store, prosecution costs of £85 and a £122 victim surcharge.
