A man from Milford Haven has been jailed after breaking the terms of a community order.

Mr Christopher Brown, of Meyler Crescent, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on October 23, admitting that he had failed to attend an office appointment as instructed and that he had not turned up for unpaid work as instructed.

The community order had originally been made on August 2 after the 34-year-old was convicted of assaulting an emergency worker - namely a police constable - by pushing him, and causing the constable to fear that violence would be used against him by saying, “I'm going to ******* kill you, I’m going to bite your face off and I’m going to knock you out,” whilst lunging towards him.

The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into account, but Brown was committed to prison for eight weeks because he had “failed to express willingness to comply with a proposed requirement for a community order”. Costs were set at £60.
