A MAN from Haverfordwest has been sent to prison for assault and breaching a court order.

Paul Webber, of Winch Lane, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on May 18, having pleaded guilty on April 13 to breaching a restraining order at Haverfordwest three days earlier.

The 38-year-old had also pleaded guilty to an assault by beating at Haverfordwest on the same day, April 10. At the May 18 hearing he admitted common assault, also on April 10, on the person named in the restraining order.

Taking into account his guilty plea, but mindful of the court order breach and the seriousness of the offences, Webber was jailed for 18 weeks. He pays costs to Crown Prosecution Service totalling £120.
