What was the outcome of a meeting to discuss proposals for new parking layouts in Narberth?
That was the question raised by town councillor David Norcross at Tuesday night's monthly meeting of the town council.
Clr. Norcross was intrigued about the meeting after reading about it in a recent issue of the Observer.
"No-one from the town council, Chamber of Trade or Future Forum was aware of the meeting and parking has been on the agenda of all three groups," he said.
"I'm in a quandary over it," he continued.
Clr. Norcross wondered if the town's County Councillor Wynne Evans - who is also a member of the town council - had the answers and asked if out of courtesy he could inform the council.
"How do we get to know what is happening?" Clr. Norcross asked, adding: "We get more information through the Observer than we do from our County Councillor."
Clr. Evans, had sent his apologies for Tuesday night's meeting, so we decided to ask him if he could shed some light on the outcome of the meeting on Wednesday.
He said: "It is intended, but has been delayed, that draft proposals would form a part of an exhibition to be held in Narberth shortly.
"This is after consultee bodies, which included the town council, chamber of trade, local emergency services, and coach and bus operators, were sent detailed questionnaires towards the end of October last year; all of these have responded.
"Now after consideration by all bodies, especially disability groups, these proposals could be put in to effect."
He continued: "A pre-meeting was to be held in February, but there have been delays with regard to certain disabilities parties being missed out in the original circulation of the questionnaire last year."
